Children's Corner

Islamic School at ISGR teach the children of all ages the essentials of Islam.  Adult classes will soon start at ISGR Learning Center.  Come back for updates.

Sundays

Hours: 10:00 am - 1:45 pm, open registration starting at 10:30 am on Sundays.

Curriculum (Summary)

I. ISLAMIC STUDIES Concept of Allah, Prophets, Angels, Jinns, Satan, Declaration of Faith, meaning of Islam and Muslim, Pillars of Islam, Hadith, Muslim Calendar, Halal & Haraam Food, How to pray etc.

II. ISLAMIC HISTORY   Famous Prophets from Adam (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh), Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) etc.

III. ARABIC  Writing, Basic of Qur’an, Sura Memorization, Qur’an Reading etc.

IV. ISLAMIC MANNERS   Eating, Bathroom, and Mosque Etiquettes, Respect for the Parents, Younger brothers/sisters, Teachers etc.

V. ISLAM ON COMPUTERS   Computer Basic, Islamic Software, Internet Basic, Islamic Sites on the Internet.

ISGR is currently reorganizing the Sunday school, major highlights includes:

1.  Dedicated teachers (including Hafiz-ul-Qur'an).

2. Dynamic curriculum on Web and at  ISGR Learning Center, click here for draft outline.

3. Teaching and student information on computer network for quick evaluation.

4. Access to latest Islamic software, Internet, audio and video tapes including DVD, Islamic books, and other teaching tools.

Summer School 2002 

For: Children 5 years and older

When: July 1 - August 15, 2002

Hours: Monday - Thursday 12:00 Noon - 5:00 PM

Learn: Qur'anic Arabic (Writing, Reading, Memorization) , History, Islamic Studies, How to Pray, Special Lectures (Halal Food, Islamic Manners etc), Book Reviews, Computers, and much more.

Play: Educational Games

Watch: Islamic Video/DVD

Fees: $10/week per student or $15/week per student with transportation.  Discounts are available if paid in full.

Students will also go on a field trip.  Registration is still open, visit us at your earliest.
