Ramadan 1429 A.H./ 2008 C.E. Activities

Please note that the Ramadan calendar is for metro Richmond area. The prayer timings for your location may be different. Please use the Prayer Calendar for your location from Islamic Society of Greater Richmond (ISGR).

Inshallah, Brother Mohsen Ibrahim from Egypt and Brother Zakariya Omer from Somalia led the Ramadan activities at ISGR.  Brother Mohsen have a degree from Al-Azhar University in Egypt with extensive experience being imam and lecturer in USA and Egypt.  Brother Zakaria have studied in Somalia and Pakistan, and have led the Taraweeh and other activities at ISGR for many years. 

Both brothers are Hafiz-ul-Qur'an (or have memorized the Qur'an).  Brother Mohsen led the regular prayers, Taraweeh, Qur'an and Sunnah talks, teaching in Sunday School etc.  During Ramadan, he was available for consultation.  Additional brothers were available for teaching, daily talks, and special prayers.

ISGR had SALAT-UL-TASBEEH or PRAYER FOR GLORIFICATION on the evening of Saturday September 27th, 2008, after the regular Taraweeh prayers.  Qur'an recitation in Taraweeh was finished on the evening of Monday September 29th (29th night of Ramadan).
