Ramadan 1420 Activities

 

Brother Yusuf Suliman from South Africa was the Imam at Islamic Society of Greater Richmond (ISGR) during the month of Ramadan.

Brother Yusuf is a Hafiz-ul-Qur'an and a scholar of Qur'an and Sunnah.  He was responsible for leading regular and Friday prayers, Taraweeh, Qur'an and Sunnah talks, teaching in Sunday School etc.
  During Ramadan, he was also available for consultation.  ISGR had daily Iftar which was attended and sponsored by many area Muslims.

Each Friday Br. Yusuf along with some brothers visited the area Mosques.  In the last week of Ramadan, a group of Muslims from ISGR visited the Mosques and Islamic Schools in the Washington, D.C. area. They also visited Halalco bookstore and Halal meat store in Falls Church, Virginia.

During the last ten days of Ramadan, ISGR had additional activities.  Brothers spend whole night in the mosque praying and reciting Qur'an.  We had Night Sunnat Prayers or QIYAM-UL-LAIL on 25th night of Ramadan (Saturday January 1, 2000).

On 27th night of Ramadan (Monday January 3, 2000), Br.
