Celebration of Eid-ul-Adha 1420 in the Metro Richmond Area

 


Muslims from all area Mosques celebrated Eid-ul-Adha (the Festival of Sacrifice) which commemorate the Prophet Ibrahim's (PBUH) willingness to sacrifice everything for God.

 

Eid-ul-Adha 1420 March 2000 Celebration started with Eid prayer at Robins Center, University of Richmond at 9:00 am on Thursday March 16, 2000.
Imam Mohammed Sofrata from Masjid Rahman lead the Eid prayer.  After the prayer, he addresses the jam packed Robins Center and talked about contemporary Islamic Issues. Eid-ul-Adha 1420 March 2000
Eid-ul-Adha 1420 March 2000 After the lecture, Muslims of different races and countries hugged and greet each other in the true spirit of brotherhood.
Eid Prayer was followed by Eid Festival on Sunday March 19, 2000 at Columbian Center  between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. Eid-ul-Adha 1420 March 2000
