First day of Thul Hujja 1428 AH in some countries

Local Sighting: Moon was not sighted around central Virginia on the evening of Monday December 10, 2007 due to cloudy weather. Accordingly Tuesday December 11 was 30th of Thul Qadah.

Based on local moon sighting, first day of Thul Hujja is from Wednesday December 12, 2007 or Eid-ul-Adha (10th of Thul Hujja) is from Friday December 21, 2007

Local Sighting: Moon was sighted locally on the evening of Friday October 12, 2007. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Fitr started from Saturday October 13, 2007.

National: According to Moonsighting.com "Saudis announced Eid to be on Friday, Oct 12. Of course, it is impossible to see the moon in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Moon has been seen in Australia on Friday, Oct 12..." [Friday October 12, 2007 7:00 AM]

Local Sighting: It was cloudy in some part of horizon at sunset time on Sunday July 15, 2007 in Richmond area. Moon was sighted for little while at around 8:50 PM, way down on the horizon. It disappeared in the clouds after five minutes.

Local Sighting: It was cloudy and rainy on the evening of Friday June 15, 2007 in many parts of central Virginia. It was hazy and little cloudy in Richmond area. Moon was not sighted but many saw the moon next day Saturday June 16 after sunset time.

Local Sighting: It was cloudy on the evening of Thursday May 17, 2007 in many parts of central Virginia. But it was clear right where moon was sighted in Richmond area at about 8:30 PM by many Muslims.

Local Sighting: It was cloudy on the evening of Wednesday April 18, 2007. However at about 8:20 PM, some part of sky got cleared and moon was sighted in Richmond area for little while before clouds cover the moon again.

National: According to Moonsighting.com "The crescent moon of Rabi-al-Thani was first sighted on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in Arizona, USA, using only binculars and telescope. On April 18, it was seen in Pakistan and many places west of it, like Kuwait, Iran, Algeria, England, Nigeria, Guyana, etc..."

Local Sighting: Some members of Muslim community did not see the moon on Saturday February 17, 2007 Magrib (sunset) time as it was cloudy. Next day Sunday February 18, 2007 number of local Muslims saw the moon clear in the sky and made this dua for cresent.
