Very hard to see the moon on the evening of Saturday December 31, 2005.

Visibility at Sunset= 3.3 percent
Moon Age at Sunset= About 35 Hours

Very easy to see the moon on the evening of January 1, 2006.

According to Umm al-Qura Calendar, Dhul Hijja in Makkah will start from January 1. 2006, accordingly the day of Arafat will be on Monday January 9, 2006 and Eid-ul-Adha will start from Tuesday January 10, 2006.
